In this course, we’ll discuss what blending modes are and how they’re helpful through real-world situations and editing scenarios. We’ll cover all of the most commonly used blend modes and when they work best in your workflow. We’ll also jump into the Apply To menu to showcase various ways of protecting and modifying specific colors and specific tones. Whether you’re new to the world of blend modes or you’re looking to learn new and creative ways of using them, this is the course for you.
It’s the new year, and time for resolutions and all that fun stuff. Well, whether you’re in to resolutions or not, this is a great time to think about your photography. And one of the topics that pops up around the new year is the infamous 365 photo project. Basically it means taking and posting at least 1 photo a day for the entire year.

The man… the myth… the legend. Hudson Henry is his name. Or is it Henry Hudson? 😉 I figured I’d do a quick post to share 7 random facts about Hudson with you, so you can get to know him a little better. While I’ve only known Hudson for a few years, and I only get to see him once every few months, he’s become a very dear friend of mine and I consider him one of my favorite people. As this coaching experience goes on, I’m sure you will too. But in the meantime, here’s 7 things you probably didn’t know about Hudson.
Last week I saw a few questions about adding and searching with keywords in Browse. Coming off the video I did on the Favorites/Watched section in Browse, I thought this video on keywords was a great follow up. If you have a complicated photo library (I don’t), then keywords can definitely help you find/organize your photos at a deeper level, and a lot of people use them (I personally don’t). But there’s a trick in Browse to making keywords work a little better and it actually involves that same Favorites/Watched panel that we looked at last week. Enjoy!

Hey there and happy Friday! If you’ve followed the Plus member site over the last couple of weeks, you’ll know that Hudson and I did a reverse photo challenge where you challenge us to something. By overwhelming vote, the challenge was for Hudson and I to get out and shoot at noon. It could have been landscape, portrait, street scenes, whatever we wanted – but it had to be at noon and with minimal gear.
