About the Photo RAW Project

The Photo RAW project gives you the chance to be a part of what we're developing at ON1. You have a voice in the future of photo editing. Your ideas will help us deliver the best available apps for photography, give us insight into what's most important, and help spark innovation.

You must log in to submit an idea.

Share Your Ideas

Share your ideas for new Photo RAW features. Make sure you write a convincing description. Remember, people won't be able to give an idea a high rating unless they understand the idea completely.

Tell Your Friends

With supporters, your ideas will get higher ratings. In fact, tell everyone you know to support your idea. The more ratings an idea gets, the more likely it will be sent to our product development team.

ON1 Will Review It

After an idea reaches 200 ratings with a 3-star or higher rating, the project team will review the details and begin asking questions. We can't put every good idea into development, but we'll try!

The opposite of HDR! This effects module would reduce the number of levels/color shades in a picture. User defines number of levels and a color gradient (or Look-Up Table) to map these levels to output colors/tones. Including controls similar to B&W effect ‘color response’ & ‘tone’ (applied to the image prior to posterizing) would broaden...

The reason this was and is an issue for me is I do a lot of astrophotography, and use astronomy program to stack images for a more detailed finished image, so take multiple images (20 to 40 images), apply the same edits/effects, but need to crop them down to a smaller size, but the same...

As a complement to the Blur module, an effect to emphasize edges and contours – effectively a High Pass filter. Sliders to set the threshold/radius so small dots and scratches can be ignored. Further sophistication might include contour line thickness proportional to the magnitude to the edge transition.

Have the possibility to position manually the images in browse in order to be able to rename them with a sequence number that maintain the new order manually choosen. At least myself, many times I need to have the image ordered differently than the usual listing (Date modified, Date captured,Color Label, File name, and so...

Under Develop you have a number of pre-defined colour correction presets (daylight, cloudy, tungsten, etc).  Why not create one for mercury vapour lamps (the ones with the green-ish hue)?

In the previous version (10) you could insert a preset on top existing layers. In this version (although in one video by Dan, I see him inserting) the preset must be the first step, otherwise it deletes all layers that are there already. Very annoying. Please get the “Insert Preset” option back.

A while ago an email asked what we use our cell phone cameras for.  I did months of research and decided on the LG G5 as have a good camera.  As with many the cell phone is almost always with me. I now have 2 with the Cam Pro attachment.  Problem is, Photo Raw does not recognize...

While the popup suggestion concept for entry of keywords is good, it is also susceptible to entry of mistakes in the database. Several modifications should be considered. Add a keyword manager function that would allow the user to organize the keyword database and eliminate entry errors; Provide a way to establish keyword sets that could...

In Photo 10 I could select multiple images in Lightroom, click Edit In > OnOne Effects 10, and edit each image in turn in Effects. When I finished one image the next one would load automatically and I could continue until I’d finished with the last image in the sequence. Now, with Photo RAW, no...

Please return the ability to rotate images 90 degrees into the Develop Module.  Sometimes you just want to rotate an image alone or do a little adjustment within the Develop module and not have to go into Layers crop tool to rotate it and then back to Develop to adjust tone and color.  I find...

In browse it will be very helpful to the the previous folders I have been in. So you should add folders to the items listed in the recent list.

The use of PR LAYERS most often implies masking one or more layers. Besides, these layers shall be adjusted in tone, color, and effects (in PR DEVELOP and/or EFFECTS) to get an appropriate global balance/harmony between them. At present, new (additional) masking is necessary in DEVELOP/EFFECTS for that purpose (if not  a “guess and try”...

Currently when working in B & W conversion preview reverts back to the color. This limits a comparison of before & after like say adding strong dynamic contrast. B & W to color preview is almost apples & oranges to me. A preview to neutral B & W would be most useful. Topaz B & W...

I like to use the filmstrip view, but when I go to the full view in Browse and back to Develop or Effects the film strip is no longer there.  I would like to have the  option of selecting  a way to have the film strip as a default view and work in all apps....
