In this video, Rick and I provide the community with tips and pointers for improving their photos both before and after capture. Create stylistic and moody portraits inside of ON1 Photo RAW. Learn how to take your portrait to creative heights using different tones and filters. You can easily find your photos inside of Browse and then compare groups of similar shots using compare view mode. Once you’ve culled through your selections and found your favorite, head into Develop to start creating a tonality for your photo. After giving your photo a basic look, use filters inside Effects to bring your moody portrait to life.

Learn how to easily create a dynamic sky using ON1 Photo RAW. Photo RAW makes it incredibly easy to manipulate your sky and make it come to life. Just find your photo you want to edit and head into Layers. There you can quickly find different sky backgrounds to add onto your photo. Brushing in a new sky is a breeze with all of the mask refinement tools. Not only can you add in a sky but you can add in other elements as well such as bird or wildlife silhouettes. If you want to add any of your own extras into Photo RAW simply head up to File and then Manage Extras.
Ever feel overwhelmed or bogged down when sorting and editing a big folder of images from a shoot? I recently shot this video in Aruba to share some tips and tricks I use for importing and quickly culling a big memory card full of images down to just those essential few I want to actually edit while simultaneously marking images to delete later when I’m sure I’ve gotten all I need out of the shoot. I find this process is essential for sports/action, wildlife and portrait shoots where there are many similar images to choose from. Here I’ll show my comprehensive culling process with kiteboarding images and then do a little processing.
