Hey everyone, this month we’re going to switch things up and do the photo critiques a little different. We’re holding the first ever Community Photo Critiques. June is nearly over and my time as a guest coach is drawing to a close, but it’s been a ton of fun. We explored various aspects of the universe at our feet, from equipment through to specialized techniques, and I’m glad I was able to throw in some editing creativity as well. I want to quickly show you how to create a Cinematic Look in this short video using new LUTs. Customers love the new LUTs feature in ON1 Photo RAW 2018.5. You can stack, blend, and mask many different LUTs together, and you have full control of all the tools as you normally would in the Effects module. I will pull it all together by adding a border using the Borders filter.
Using the new Camera Profiles in ON1 Photo RAW 2018.5 is a great way to jump-start your photo editing. They are an excellent starting point when editing and will adjust the interpretation of the raw data to bias it towards what you are shooting. Follow along as I show some excellent Fujifilm® profiles.
Something as simple as a water droplet can be a wonderful subject to photograph, especially when the right ingredients are aligned to create an almost magical refraction image. A spherical droplet can act like a lens – the more spherical the better. Supported on a wildflower seed or a vine, flower petal spider web or even a blade of grass, you quickly become a droplet architect first, photographer second. Your subject doesn’t exist until you create it!
