Dan’s announcement is great news.
The masking in side of Photo Raw is already advanced, and very effective. Making the behaviour of the masking software work in the same way, inside of each and every module. Will make it much easier to use. So I will look forward to PR 2027.
I appreciate that the Mask Layers allows us to ‘look under the hood’. I hope that the ‘mask layers’ feature that allows us to see the different layers of the mask that we are building, as well as the final mask, will be retained?

Watching Dylan’s masking live edit last night, I’m very impressed by the 2027 masking UI. I’m looking forward to receiving 2027 when it arrives.
