Photo RAW 2020.1 is here and there are some fun new things to explore. In this tips and tricks video I’ll showcase some things that new and veteran users alike will enjoy about it. We’ll look at what’s new, what’s different, and how to take full advantage of the software’s new capabilities.

Once you have a solid understanding of both global and more localized adjustments, it is time to dig into some of On1 Photo RAW 2019’s more Advanced tools. In this video, I will edit two images, leveraging everything we have covered so far while also mixing in the use of luminosity masks, advanced layer blending, creative use of noise reduction and much more. This will be the final video this month with the holidays fast approaching so I hope you have some fun with it!
Now that we all have a base understanding of how Global Adjustments work in On1 Photo RAW 2019 from last weeks video, it is time to get a little creative. The next stage of post-processing is known as utilizing Local Adjustments. These are adjustments, filters, and techniques that you can selectively and subjectively apply to very specific areas within your image. We will not only talk about why these kind of adjustments are important but when and how you can apply them with your own images as well!

I took this long exposure photo using one of my cinematic lenses, but I find it is a lot of fun to play around with in still photography. I’ll also share with you in this video why I believe using Wacom tablet with pressure sensitivity is best for making local adjustments. What a fabulous month! I truly enjoyed this elements course and I hope that you guys were able to pull a few tips out of the information that I shared. Before I completely sign off, I wanted to give you guys one final bonus video. While staying at the beach to create this course, I fell in love with the window light in the house we rented. This video will share a little more information about window light and how I made it work for me. I will also edit the photo in effects to create a beautiful Black & White photo to I had envisioned for this shot.
