- Intermediate / Advanced
Access the included practice file directly from the all-new Home module in ON1 Photo RAW 2026.4 and follow along step-by-step with this edit. Keep in mind, the practice file is only accessible in version 2026.4, so make sure you’ve upgraded to the latest version of ON1 Photo RAW before getting started.
In this tutorial, we’ll recover detail in an overexposed sky, add contrast and depth, enhance color in the sunflowers and sky, refine the sky mask for a more natural blend, and bring out texture using Masks, Local Adjustments, Color Enhancer, and Dynamic Contrast.

I tried selecting “Practice Files” using 2026.4.1 On1 Photo Raw Max and there is no practice files. I’m logged in. Selected update, I’m using the current version. Tried using AI to tell me what’s wrong, that did not work. Can anyone tell me what I need to do, please?

The practice files live in the home module of ON1 Photo RAW. They are located at the bottom – there’s a tab that says “Practice Files” and will show all the files at the bottom. Simply double-click the file to open it inside of Edit. Are you able to access these files?

In the video, there are five tabs under the color spectrum graph Develop, Local, Effects, Sky, and Portrait. But on my computer, I only see 3 tabs of very different names “Blending”, “Masking” and “Text”. Should I be concerned?

The Develop, Local, Effects, etc. tabs live underneath that section – Blending, Masking, and Text can be rolled up by clicking on either of the tabs. To next these on the left, go to Window → Properties → Nest Left.

Now I’m lost at 5:31 where we move to the masking mode. When I clicked the icon at the left bottom corner, all I get is a “Presets” tab that shows “Culinary”, “Dark Forest”, “Drone Zone”, etc. in 2 columns. I don’t see the “Masking” tab. What did I do wrong?
