Using the Crop Tool

To crop an image, select the Crop tool from the Tool well. If desired, select any preset crop ratio you would like to use from the Options bar; the default is Freeform, which lets you crop in whatever size or ratio you would like. Adjust the corner handles of the crop tool overlay to get the area you wish. (The area outside the crop box appears darkened for guidance.) You can resize and move the image inside the crop box. When you are satisfied with your settings, press the Apply button in the Options bar or press Enter.

It would be great to have golden ratios available to help with cropping.

I definitely agree…several kinds of them would be of great help. …Hint: LR has them available!!! LOL

My crop tool is greyed out on an image. Can anyone explain this please.
