Use the Clone Stamp tool for replacing an area of the image with a sample area from a different part of the image. Hold down the Option (Mac) or Alt key (Windows) and click the area you want to clone from. Then click and drag on the area you want to clone over and it will clone from the point you selected.

I hate the new clone stamp tool in On One 2021. The illustration above is from On One 2020 when the tool worked great. Now the tool yields two circles with a red and green box near each circle. Neither seem to accomplish what a clone stamp is to supposed to do. I am a plus member and so far I am disappointed with 2021. Wish I could get 2020 back but since downloading 2021 I am stuck with a turkey. If I wanted things more complicated I would have bought Photoshop. Very Disappointed!!!

This was put back in the latest update so it works just as it did before. Please make sure to check for the new update for 2021. And yes, it’s free. 🙂

I do not know what has changed, but the clone stamp tool does not work for me in the following situation. I used the healing brush first on an area and now the clone stamp tool just sits there (no change in the area I am cloning). The clone stamp tool works if another tool was not used in the same area prior to using the clone stamp tool. Using the healing brush first killed the ability to use the clone stamp tool. Frustrated . . .

Nice presentation. I’ve upgraded to RAW 2022. Question, with the clone tool, is it possible to juxtapose the positioning of the anchor and target or is it a fixed algorithm? Specifically spacing and orientation. Your demo appears horizontal while my attempts are vertically oriented with the anchor and target. Please advise, thanks.

Can I use the clone tool with two images at the same time, that is, clone from one on to the other?
