I have one of these, and it is simply fantastic when I am shooting outside, especially for getting my settings fast in bright daylight, as he said. I found out about it when I saw a pro at a rodeo, and as we chatted, I asked him what it was. He told me and let me try it out, and I got one in short order–but I have never seen anyone else with one since! This is a little gem. So, yes, please follow Hudson’s advice (again) and get yourself one 🙂

Right, it’s hard to think of not using it in bright conditions and particularly if you ever shoot video on your DSLR. With the mirror locked up for video the viewfinder is lost, but with this tool I regain it.
