As you get ready for ON1 Photo Raw, and start to think about organizing a little more in ON1 Browse, Albums are sure to come up as a topic. So, in this video, I thought I’d talk about 2 ways that albums can help out vs. a traditional folder-based organizational system.
Custom brush shapes were first made available in Photo RAW 2021. Now with the latest update, version 2021.1, we’ve added support for .abr files. Most brushes found online use this file format, and it allows customers to import an entire category of creative brush shapes in one step.

Keep your landscapes razor sharp in lower light with wider apertures. Watch this new tutorial to see how I capture this low-light Patagonian landscape image in multiple frames at varying focus settings and then RAW process, composite blend, and finish edit the scene into a single, tack-sharp image. Software covered includes ON1 Layers, ON1 Effects and the Lightroom Develop module’s basic, noise reduction and sharpening panels.
TL;DR
We all have tons of photos these days. We also keep them across many of our devices and platforms. Very soon, a new optional service (ON1 360° – Coming in June) will let you view and edit them on all your devices while keeping you in control of where the original files are stored. It can do this by using the upcoming ON1 compressed-raw file format, that you can view and edit on any device, without needing the download the original photo. These compressed versions take up much less space than the originals, meaning you can store a lot more of them in the same space, which means you spend less. The compressed versions have all the dynamic range and color of the original. They will be perfect for editing, sharing, and even printing standard sizes.
Hudson and I recorded a recap video to go through some good learning moments from the last round of photo critiques in ON1 Plus. The ON1 Plus Community continues to submit a ton of great photos. It was a blast for us to get together and see the photos that the other person had to review.

Buying a new computer or restoring from a crash will be much easier soon with the upcoming back-up and restore feature. It backs-up all your edits, albums, presets, extras, styles, sync settings, etc. When you need to restore, just move your photos to the new computer, install Photo RAW and choose restore and you will be back like nothing happened.
