I hope you’re enjoying spring and are able to find time to get out shooting during one of my favorite seasons. I can honestly say, there has never been a more exciting time here at ON1.
Where to start…
Thanks so much to everyone who attended my Q&A on creatively using shutter speed yesterday! The questions were great and Nathan was a fabulous host. As always, if you can’t join in live we post the video here on the Plus member site. And if you have a question that didn’t get answered in the video, feel free to leave it here or hit the “Ask Hudson” button on the right side of the page.
We hope you all enjoyed guest coach Blake Rudis Photo Workflow Mastery course.
Wow, what a week! I’m amazed at the response and support we received about the ON1 Photo RAW announcement. Thank-you! I’ve been combing through the news and comments around the web from the photography community and wanted to address some important questions about Photo RAW. Anything I missed? Leave me a comment! – Dan
Includes updates to ON1 Effects, improved masking tools, and over 1000 new borders and textures
Once again, user feedback has been tremendous in helping improve ON1 Photo 10. We’ve been hard at work the past several months on improving the user experience. In this latest release, version 10.5, we’ve made improvements in several areas including; selectively applying effects, masking, additional creative content, and plug-in integration. ON1 Photo 10.5 is a FREE update for owners of version 10.
Passion Thrives Here!
At the beginning of the year, very shortly after the ball dropped, Matt asked me if I would be interested in being a guest coach for a project he was working on with ON1. I was shocked, floored, honored, and a bit scared all at the same time. The shocked, honored, and floored are easy to explain, and anyone would probably feel those emotions from such a request, but scared, why scared?
Hey everyone! Here’s the next round of photo critiques. Blake Rudis, our guest coach, jumped in this time to help out as well.
It all comes down to this! The final frontier.
We have discussed workflow in depth from the importance of building an efficient workflow to the last stages of the Artistic Effects. Now it is time to take everything you have learned so far and put it into practice. For this session, I will be using ON1 Effects 10, but you can use just about any combination of programs or plugins that allow you to modify Tone, Color, and Artistic Effects. ON1 Effects 10, like Photoshop, is a one-stop shop resource for workflow which makes it a suitable candidate for finishing up our workflow discussion.
ON1 Photo Raw will feature non-destructive editing with Photo Effects and even let you sync those preset settings across multiple photos.
