Dylan – “Beginner”s Tour” ? Well maybe, but I had a little time and decided let’s do a refresher of the basics. BANG ! Great video for me. Thank You! Great for masking on the Haystack and the B Bee, explanations, tempo , details and demonstration. Two questions. On the Haystack when you went from Effects to Local only “Exposure” was adjusted a pinch but I did not see you select any of the presets. So was that an auto adjustment for just selecting Local or did I miss it your selection of ie. darken? You then darkened the lower part of the water beneath the stack? Two saving the presets of yr. wrk. is great tool. But on the Bee it was so detailed to specific areas of the photo. How does that work then w/a new photo? Does it go to those areas? Seems confusing. Tks for this. Really learned some things. Will save for review again. So happy I switched to ON 1 Whoo Hoo!

Hi Merle I’m glad that it helped! When you go into the Local Adjustments tab it will automatically create a local adjustment layer and that new local adjustment will always be at Darken by default. Meaning the exposure will always be at -1 in the local adjustment layers you add. You can always readjust to whichever settings you want or use the preset styles. I’m glad you are liking it! 🙂

I found the video wasn’t high enough resolution to view or to view full screen, particularly.
Good content.

Today I went in again to continue the video and the resolution was good.
However, I cannot see the Modification Bar for the Local Adjustment Brush that you are discussing to modify the rock in the water.
Also, the title of the webinar goes almost right across the Modification Bar.
Content good. Taking notes.

The title is ok. doesn’t cover the Modif Bar.
However, still can’t see the text in the Modif Bar.
