Open the Crop Tool
Crop lets you reframe, straighten and even extend your photo. It is non-destructive, so you can change the crop later. Open a photo in Edit and select the Crop tool.
Choose an Aspect Ratio
The toolbar across the top holds every crop option. Start by picking the shape you want.
Frame Your Shot
With 1x1 (Square) selected, the crop box keeps a square shape. The area outside the box is darkened so you can judge the composition.
Pick an Overlay
Overlays are composition guides that only show while you crop.
Straighten the Horizon
A tilted horizon is easy to fix while you crop.
Extend the Canvas
Need more room around your subject? Canvas Extension uses AI to add realistic new detail past the edges of the photo.
Review the Result
Canvas Extension adds the new detail on its own layer, so your original stays untouched.
