For those new to Plus, each month Plus members have the opportunity to submit a photo for critique. Every photo submitted gets critiqued by one of the ON1 coaches. It’s great perk for our Plus members! Critiques are a great learning exercise and way to continuously improve your photography. The coaches give their professional constructive critique in a positive manner.
Now that we all have a base understanding of what goes into a story, lets get everyone on the right path to start creating these engaging images. In today’s video we walk through a step by step in-field workflow process, talk about different mistakes to avoid out in the field and look at a number of case studies of some of my favorite images as we try to deterim why they have such impact. Hi ON1 Plus tribe! My name is Colby Brown and I am incredibly excited to be a guest coach this month. Many of you have probably seen some of the ON1 videos I have created over the years, but for those that don’t know me, I am a landscape, travel and humanitarian photographer that has been working in this industry for the last 11 years. I have taught photography for National Geographic, lead photo workshops all over the globe and have worked with some of the biggest companies in both the tech & travel space throughout my career.
It’s been a great couple of weeks in Plus. Here’s a recap in case you missed anything.
In Part 2 of Color Correction with ON1, we’re going to look at some of the more creative aspects of color correcting photos. Especially with our outdoor landscape and nature photos, there is no “right” color for it. So it starts to become more about our personal style and what colors we envision for the photos.
In this first of two videos, we’re going to look at some of the technical aspects of color correcting a photo in ON1 Raw. We’ll look at how we can neutralize color casts, with the White Balance tools as well as take a look at what the Highlight/Shadow Purity controls do.
In this final video I’ll talk about the various options when outputting your photos, whether it be for web, print or something else.
It’s time for our second video on color spaces. This one goes in to how we can work with the different color spaces in ON1 and what the best practices are for keeping things consistent.
Once again, I’m psyched to be back as a guest coach here at ON1 Plus. I feel like I just left 🙂 This time around we’re going to concentrate on color. Spring is here and it’s a very colorful time of the year. So we figured it was a great topic.
