Golden Hour Forager
This is my first ever photo developed with ON1 Photo RAW! I literally shot this and installed the software yesterday, June 29, 2026!
Shot in my backyard at golden hour, this honeybee was working a lavender spike just as the warm light caught the gold of its body. The software let me hold the warm background glow while pulling out the fine detail in the bee’s fuzz and the lavender’s texture.
Post processing notes:
All processing was done in ON1 Photo RAW. I first applied a Sun Glow preset at 25%, then adjusted levels, added a bit of dynamic contrast, then used the ResizeAI function to enlarge it 200% since it was a heavily cropped photo. The photo was shot in RAW on a Sony A7Cii and Tamron 28-75mm F2.8 lens.Exif information:
