The release remastered the AI noise reduction and TackSharp AI deblurring models to remove more noise and recover more detail with fewer artifacts, and adds a new model selector that matches the right AI model to a photographer’s subject. The rebuilt noise reduction models are aimed at the high-ISO situations photographers run into most often: wildlife at dawn or dusk, concerts under stage lighting, and night. In each case, the models remove more noise while preserving fine texture, such as feathers, fur, and starlight, so the result looks like a clean photograph rather than a smoothed-over one.

“We rebuilt the AI models to remove more noise while keeping a sharper, natural look, and the new model selector automatically matches the right AI model to your subject,” said Dan Harlacher, VP of Product, ON1.

ON1 NoNoise AI 2027 also updates TackSharp AI, the app’s deblurring engine, bringing photos that came out a little soft back into focus without introducing new noise or artifacts. The new model selector lets photographers pick the AI model built for their subject, whether wildlife, portraits, astrophotography, or scanned film, instead of relying on one general-purpose model for every scene. This release also adds automatic subject and background masking, a rebuilt AI inference engine with native support for Windows on ARM, and expanded raw file support for more than 30 additional camera models.
