dead_tree_stormy_sky_B&W.jpg
Taken at the little known East Coast beach at Rheban in South East Tasmania, this Eucalyptus tree had tried to reach for the sky but died from drought, disease or most likely a rising salt table, as it is barely 50 metres from the ocean. Its branches climb higher as they become more delicate, showing clear evidence of its fight for survival. I felt it at least deserved to be photographed so it will live on.

Post processing notes:
The picture was taken several years ago in 2022 , I ran it through ON1 2025 originally which I was learning on and had just purchased, to see what I could make of "just a picture of a dead tree" using sharpen, adjustments to saturation, cropping and straightening slightly, as well as trying a black and white version , I eventually tried the sky swap feature in ON1 and now have a picture that I am quite happy with.Exif information:
