What were the reasons you felt ON1 Photo RAW 2023 owners need to get this?
My motivation for Story & Vision is to talk about why we apply filters and make adjustments. We edit to make stronger photos! And a stronger photo means knowing the story of your image and your vision of how you will tell it - before you dive straight into editing.
Understanding how to use Develop, Effects, Locals and masking is important, of course. Yet once you've got the mechanics of how the tools work, it's important to shift your approach to editing. Know why you're adding a preset or leveraging an AI tool. Add filters, move sliders, and make adjustments that are in service of the story you want to tell. When you edit with intent, you will create more compelling photographs.
What is your favorite part of this ON1 Photo Kit?
Hmm... I have to pick just one?? Well, there is this one technique that’s like having a super-power for controlling light and shadow. It uses a combination of a luminosity mask and edges-shaped masking bug. In the course, I showcase it to amplify and accentuate off-camera sunlight in a natural way. Once you see how it works, you find more and more uses for it - color, contrast, dodge & burn. I use this technique all the time in my editing.
Does this ON1 Photo Kit cover any of the new features in Photo RAW 2023.5?
Yes! I use the latest version of ON1 Photo RAW 2023, especially the new Curves tool and that specific feature is used several times in the course.
