Mt. Shuksan Reflection

One morning while in Bellingham, I drove to Mt. Baker. The air was still on this bright sunshine day. In driving by this lake I saw this perfect reflection of Mt. Shuksan and thought, with the sun position where it was, it would make a great high key image. With ON1 software including the black and white filter the final edit was accomplished in which I made the image to look like it was shot on an cloudy day with clouds clinging around the mountain.

Editing notesDevelop was used for initial tone and color raw adjustments gear toward high key. Next several local adjustments were used (both before and after converting to B&W). They adjusted specific areas of the scene for the high key effect. Finally, I added the texture filter to give the image a canvas type look and to add a ripple effect to the lake.
