Light Play over Great Sand Dunes National Park

This photo was taken with a telephoto lens at dusk from the porch of our lodge just outside of Great Sand Dunes National Park in October 2023. Watching the light from our chairs was amazing, and the telephoto lens captured the drama beautifully.

Editing notesI use ON1 Photo Raw for my editing. I have a relatively standard process for most of my landscape photos that includes some basic editing of tone and exposure followed by some application of the dynamic contrast (usually applied with a mask over the sky), sunshine, and big Softy vignette effects.
