Fish market in M’Bour / Senegal

This photo was taken ten years ago in June 2015 at the central fish market of M’Bour, a city in the center-west of Senegal. It is well known as a center of the local fishing industry, as you can imagine from this market scene.

Editing notesThe original .on1 file with all the masks, adjustments and effects in it is not being recognized by the RAW file anymore. So, for this contest I had to continue with the JPG file I had exported at that time. I did a review with ON1 Photo RAW 2025.2. I let Brilliance AI do its job on an amount of 50 percent. I reduced the vibrance a touch and applied a local adjustment to darken the upper seaside part a bit. I still like the tilt shift effect I applied back in 2015. I finished with a subtle vignette (protecting the shadows at 50 percent) and used NoNoise AI.
