Adobe recently introduced features inside Lightroom that are similar to the tools we built for Lightpanel. Because many of you rely on Lightpanel in your workflow, we want to be open and direct about what’s next—and why this is actually a big step forward for customers.

Lightpanel Is Not Going Away

Let’s make this clear right away: Lightpanel isn’t being discontinued. In fact, we’re expanding its future.

Over the next year, we’ll be rolling Lightpanel’s advanced AI culling, AI Develop, and workflow automation tools directly into ON1 Photo RAW and several other ON1 applications, along with improving the existing Lightpanel features you work with inside Lightroom Classic. This gives us more room to innovate and helps these powerful technologies become available across your entire editing workflow—not just inside Lightroom Classic.
