ON1 Photo RAW 2018 Beta 3 Available!

We are excited to announce the immediate availability of Photo RAW 2018 Beta 3. The feedback we’ve received from the ON1 community has been incredible, and we’re working hard each day to address all issues reported by customers. You can download ON1 Photo RAW 2018 Beta 3 here.

Here are some of the biggest fixes and enhancements in ON1 Photo RAW 2018 Beta 3 (12.0.0.3979). The full release notes can be found here.

  • Improved HDR alignment, deghosting and tone-mapping.
  • Improved EV readout in HDR
  • Reduced memory usage on panorama
  • Improved panorama alignment and using as many photos as possible
  • Added Fast Previewing mode — We are still working on this, but it will make panning when you are zoomed in faster, especially on low-end video cards. You can turn this on in the preferences.
  • Improved the Perfect Brush, it now paints way less colors farther away from the drop color. The transition control also has larger range and is oriented correctly
  • Improved printing output when using printer managed color instead of a printer profile
  • Fixed a crash with macOS 10.9
  • Add support for the Fujifilm X-E3, Sony Cyber shot DSC RX10 IV and Olympus E-M10 III
  • Increased the size of the icons in the tool-well and bumpers to be easier to see
  • Tons of other bug fixes and performance improvements

We are committed to fixing each of the issues reported by the community before the final release goes out our doors. Please download ON1 Photo RAW 2018 Beta 3 and continue sending your feedback.

Really looking forward to experimenting. Are there any tutorial on Layers? I’m sure I have seen something but can’t find it.

So far all my edit trials are looking good. I have to still use my old Lightroom 6 for tethering but everything else is done in On1. I will do some panorama and perfect brush work today to check it out.

I have enjoyed playing with the latest Beta. There seem to be less bugs, than there were in Photo Raw 2017. Which is excellent news.
Adam is right about panorama, but the new message warning that panorama has not yet been fixed, suggests that it will be fixed in the near future.
Only serious problem that I have noticed, is that all of the extra code is slowing things down a bit. Raw 2018 is still fast, when compared to other programmes, but not as fast as Raw 2017. However, if I was asked to trade off a little speed, against better stability and more features. Then, I’ll happily take the latter.
