True Grit Ranch
This photo was taken in May of 2026 on the Last Dollar Road near Ridgeway Colorado. This ranch was in the ending scene of the original True Grit movie. The fences on this ranch are a work of art. I used my Canon R6 M2, with my 24-240 lens at 42m ISO125 1/125 f11.
Post processing notes:
Basic tone and color were adjusted in Develop, Noise and Sharpen, local adjustments to lower highlights on the sky as well as a gradient to darken the edges. Another gradient was used to darken the foreground . Dynamic Contrast on the fence. Desert style Color Mixer was used to bring out the warm tones, Glow for a soft look and a Big Softy Vignette.Exif information:
