The Victor
We encountered this Martial Eagle shortly after a successful hunt. It remained over its prey watching everything around it. What drew me to the scene was the eagle’s intense stare looking directly at the camera.
I’m especially proud of this photograph because it captures behavior rarely witnessed so clearly, defensive posture and direct eye contact.
Shot at the Amboseli National Park, Kenya.
