Into the Abyss
My wife and I kayak in Florida and I wanted to create a picture of her kayaking through an abyss or infinite black hole while still maintaining evidence of water through her reflection only. This was done by removing evidence of the entire creek and surrounding vegetation within On1. Camera was a Sony ILCE-7RM3, shot in May 2021 on the southwest coast of Florida. f/8, 50mm, 1/1000th, ISO 200 with -0.5 exposure bias. No flash but did include a polarizing filter.
Post processing notes:
This photo required masking and removing everything other than her, the kayak, and her water reflections. Several steps had to be taken to eventually end up with an entire black background while still showing water reflections to give the feel of drifting into nothingness instead of floating in air.Exif information:
