Pre-launch
The photo was taken late afternoon October 2025 in a wetland in Albany Western Australia. The settings were ISO 200 1/80 F4. I like the feeling of movement with the blurred wings as the bird prepared to take off. I also like the background with its pastel colors.
Post processing notes:
I used the Tone and Color sliders, Local Adjustment to darken the branch and in Effects Sunshine and Dynamic Contrast. In Layers I had to add a head from another photo taken during that shoot because the head on the original was too blurred.Exif information:
