Oahu Rooster
While traveling with my wife to the island of Oahu in February of 2026 we came across this rooster mid afternoon. We seen so many chickens on the island but this one was strikingly beautiful. I shot this with my Nikon Z8 using a 135mm Plena.

Post processing notes:
This photo was edited using only ON1 post processing. I utilized the tone and color tab to manage contrasts, highlights, mid-tones, and black adjustments. I also used the structure tab to pull the slightest more detail forward trying not to over amplify it. I used local background adjustments to control more of the blown out background and create even more separation for my subject. Without the the strength of the ON1 program I think I would have lost this photo. Thank you ON1.Exif information:
