Mount Fuji Fishermen
I turned the corner and saw this image in my mind. I waited and waited until the three fishermen had their rods parallel and pressed the shutter, underexposing to place the fishermen in semi-silhouette. The reflections of the slightly shrouded Mont Fuji and the fishing boats caught in the shaft of sunlight made the image look so beautiful.
The image was captured in April 2023 on a Fuji X100V on the fixed 23 mm lens, at 1/1000 s at f8 and ISO 160. Photographer: John Sowden
Post processing notes:
Shot on a Fuji X100VI, I gave used the Vivid jpeg setting to bring out the richness of the colours. I edited the image using ON1 software with the Fall Enhance Landscape preset at 3/4 strength to further enhance the colours, adjusting the tone and colour sliders slightly to subtly improve the colours.Exif information:
