At sunset, on the shores of the lake, I noticed the figure of a fisherman immersed in silence. His presence integrated perfectly with the landscape: the golden reflection of the sky on the water, the backlit vegetation, and the concentric circles created by the casting of the line conveyed a moment of absolute tranquility.
What inspired me to take photographs wasn’t just the landscape, but the bond I perceived between the fisherman and the photographer. Both share the same quality: patience. The fisherman waits for the right moment for the fish to bite, while the photographer waits for light, composition, and emotion to converge in a single instant. In that scene, I saw two overlapping waits, both silent and full of anticipation.
Post processing notes:
All post-production was done with ON1 Photo RAW MAX 2025. In the Tone and Color menu, I made small adjustments to close the whites and open the midtones. Brilliance AI achieved a good effect, albeit with a small amount applied. In the Effects menu, I adjusted the colors to the warm and cool tones of the sky.
