Limpkin in flight
This winter a group of limpkins settled on our side of Lake Hernando in west central Florida. The feathers of the bird in this image reminded me of Native American patterns. Limpkins are good photo subjects, inasmuch as they fly at a moderate speed and are tolerant of humans’ presence. Plus, they are just so good looking.
