Kestrel among winterpine
This beautiful kestrel took off from a tall office building heading straight for me and my ready-to-shoot Canon R6 Mark II with Canon RF 100-500 mm lens, 1/2000, aperture 8, iso 320 (shooting date 18.02.2025). I was thrilled when I saw that my autofocus had locked onto the bird, despite its extreme speed coming towards me.
Post processing notes:
The background wasn't very exciting, so I pulled up a photo of some frost-covered pine trees I had photographed from directly below. I cropped the background and isolated the bird, then adjusted it into the new background, and it’s quite amazing what it took!Exif information:
