Dawn on the Plains
The original photograph was taken just after dawn at Shamwati Game Reserve in South Africa. We were making our way out in search of elephants. It was cold and misty. We sat in an open topped jeep wrapped in a blanket and clutching a hot water bottle. The bouncing jeep seemed to emphasise the cold.

Post processing notes:
Edited using On 1 Photo Raw The original photograph does not have the red glow. Natural HDR was applied first to pull out some detail. Surreal dynamic contrast was then applied to the bush. The red tinge was introduced by adding a colour burn overlay. Bleach Bypass and Cross Process used to tweak the colours and then finished with a overall dark glow and vignette.Exif information:
