BIF the Hawk
I was fortunate to capture this magnificent Harris Hawk in flight at a local park in the city. The hawk circled around showing for several minutes which resulted in a lot of awesome photos.
Post processing notes:
The camera was set to f/4.5, 1/2000th of a second and auto ISO which was 1000. ON1 has absolutely amazing Ai Denoise which makes me never worry about my ISO settings. Editing wildlife in ON1 has gotten very easy. I have a serious of Presets that I use as a base starting point. They apply denoise if needed, and Brilliance Ai. The preset automatically add a back ground dark glow, Depth Lighting, and a dynamic contrast on the bird. There is a curves adjustment localized to the birds eye that I add in since it requires careful masking. A “spotlight” curves is added in front of the bird, which the bird being masked out to draw the eye. A local adjustment applies a gradient mask from the bottom up the cools off the bottom of the photo and also masks the out to add a little depth.Exif information:
