Hi Dylan
I realize that DNG was developed and is licensed by Adobe, however it’s a format many of us convert RAW files to. I love the idea of the new highlight recovery tool but it doesn’t work with DNG. Any chance of adapting highlight recovery to work with DNG files in the future?
Thanks

Hi Again Dylan
So I shot some raw images, didn’t convert to DNG, and the Recover Highlights is still dark. I then opened both a raw and DNG in On1 Browse>Edit, and Recover Highlights was available so it’s not the DNG files. Looking back, it appears to just not work when using On1 as a plugin for Lightroom. Is there a known problem there?
Thanks

Hi Dylan
I use my copy of Photo Raw as a standalone package.
I used the Highlight Recovery slider on some old foundry shots. (Which were micro 4/3rds raw files). The contrast in light levels, (between the orange hot molten iron, and the general gloom and black sand in the foundry), was very high. The new Highlight Slider recovered the highlights very well indeed. The new highlight controls are great to have, and they also work well when the sun is in shot.
Best wishes David Price

I always use “Highlight Recovery” in Lightroom. Moved a file from LR to On1, then used Highlight slider, and it further reduced the blown out highlight, but the recover highlight hue button is inoperable. Won’t turn off, so I can’t see any difference there??? It just remains on no many how many times I try to turn it off!
