We’ve added a simple search right to the breadcrumbs bar at the top of Browse. You can also choose which cataloged folders to search, instead of all of them.

When you show your search “Portraits”, where does ON1 search,
in your cataloged folder ?
When I go to this target, it only shows me
Search “Desktop”, and the cataloged drive, no subfolders
