Sunrise at Sao Lourenco in Madeira
This Photograph was taken in Madeira (12.9.2024). To reach the Outlook I had to go up a very steep mountain early in the morning when it was still dark. There was no real trail and I had to find my way up with help of a headlamp. After I have had installed my camera on the tripod the wait was exciting not knowing if I could get the sunlight including the sunstar lighting up this famous half island in Madeira. The weather in Madeira is unpredictable. I was lucky and the sun came up and was visible in a small window for not more than 2 minutes before she disappeared behind the clouds.
Post processing notes:
After the RAW Image was loaded I have used Brilliance AI for Sky and Water. Then the image was cropped to 16:9 and Denoise was done after the normal local adjustments. Sharpening was not necessary. With the help of the HDR Look, Glow, Sun and Dynamic Contrast I have created the picture which was still in my mind when the photograph was taken.Exif information:
