The Family of Clun Forest
Dating back to the early 18th century, the Clun Forest, from Shropshire, England, were revered as the livestock trifecta. A hearty animal that produces fine wool, milk rich in butterfat, and a savory meat. My mother is one of a few breeders of Clun Forest in the U.S. She is the quintessential shepherd, raising her flock, creating tapestries from their wool, making cheeses from their milk, and processing her animals to feed her family.
Shot in central Virginia, early March. Sony a7iii, 70-200 f/2.8 @ 87mm, ISO 800, 1/1000, F/3.2
