Wemyss Bay Station
Wemyss Bay is on Scotland’s west coast. The station connects to Glasgow. In Victorian times workers on holiday came to Wemyss Bay to get the ferry across to the island of Rothesay, where we were going. While waiting for the ferry I wandered into the station, which has recently been restored. I took a few shots, enjoying the architecture and the way the light came in. I had in mind doing a B&W conversion in ON1. Taken on a Nikon z6ii, z24-200 at 28mm, iso500, 1/400 at f11 in April 2025
Post processing notes:
I first processed in Brilliance AI, but I do a gentle approach. I then did a B&W conversion using the B&W films pre-sets, which I enjoy using as a starting point. This shot uses Kodak T-Max 100. I sometimes adjust the B&W look in Curves, but I don't think I did for this shot. I also usually adjust the composition a bit in crop, which I would have done on this shot.Exif information:
