Waiting for the Bride

On a recent trip (April 2026) to Lecce, Puglia I was fortunate enough to come across a wedding at the Basilica di Santa Croce. This driver was waiting for the happy couple with an unusual wedding car. This unguarded moment of boredom while all the tourists were waiting to see the bride come out of this magnificent Baroque church was a perfect street scene, even though I had to wait an age for the toursists (and I was one of them) to get out of the way as they all wanted selfies with the car.

Taken with a Fuji XT5 Viltrox 75mm. F1.2. ISO800 1/6400. EV -0.33.
Very sunny so lots of shadow and contrast to overcome.

Post processing notes:

I tend to follow the work flow from one of your recent video lessons. So cropping and levelling first. Then used the Develop module to adjust Tone & Colour. Followed by adding filters in the Effects tab. Filters were Dynamic contract, Glow, Depth Lighting, Tome Enhancer and a slight Vignette. The last action I took it to use TackSharp AI but I find this takes an age and then when reloading the image to re-edit takes a further age if you have applied this.
