Union Station Avant-Garde Platform 9 & 3/4
This was another fun one actually from a train convention late summer 2023 @ Union Station. There was lots of cool trains old and new on display @ the famous Union Station. As I was leaving the event I looked up and saw the platforms and the trains and the cloudy sky all looked really cool so I snapped a couple pics with the iPhone 14 Pro Max main lens with default camera app — only tweaked exposure a little bit. Later in the edit I went with a more dreamy direction but to be fair that is what trains are aren’t they hahaha what can I say like trains a lot alongside other forms of transportation 😀
Post processing notes:
The sky and the train platforms on the station already did a lot going into the photo. I chose the beam as the obvious symmetrical line of division. I then did some touching up on it with On1 and then applied a filter to really give it a dreamy look. The blur and the colors alongside the subject of the train with the sunset approaching cloudy skies helped to carry the dreamlike feeling you would get of being at a major train station where you are in transit. Plus the platforms being 9 and 10 -- I was like oh the name here is going to be kind of obvious now actually ...Exif information:
