The Jewel of the Rainforest
This vibrant baby Green-billed Toucan was shot in Iguaçu, Brazil. The toucan pauses sufficiently between bites, allowing me to capture a shot as he stares back at me. This was shot in the morning with filtered light from the canopy of trees. These bird seemed so elusive and I was thrilled to have captured this shot after the baby toucan capture his next feast.
Post processing notes:
The tree canopy filtered light - so I had to balance between ISO and shutter speed. There was some noise in the image and I used ON1 No Noise to clean up the noise and help sharpen the image, revealing the true beauty of this bird.
Camera: Canon R6 iii RF24-240 1/160, f5.6, 2000 ISO.
On1 No Noise plugin with Lightroom Classic. In Lightroom is applied some lens blur, texture and clarity to the bird, various vignettes (linear and radial) and applied minor colour grading (made warmer) mainly affecting he background.
