Reflection

This photo is inspired by Saul Leiter. It captures an iconic New York City landmark in the reflection of a restaurant window, and I love how the longer you look, the more it gives up: the “don’t walk” signal, the reversed glow of the neon lettering, a warm lamp burning inside, the silhouette of someone reclining at their table. It’s two New Yorks folded onto a single pane of glass.
