Ocean Breath
A surge of turquoise water rises and explodes against the dark rocks on the Kona coast in Hawaii, sending mist into the air like a breath released from the deep. The moment captures the ocean’s wild pulse — powerful, fleeting, and endlessly alive. Edits included global and local edits to bring out colors and tonal qualities. Shot with my Sony a7 iii , I used a very fast shutter speed of 1/2000 sec around f 4.5, ISO 400 to capture the details of the wave breaking up into countless water fragments. I’m proud of the composition, framing of the wave and freezing of the breaking wave, allowing the viewer to feel the power of the waves.
Post processing notes:
I mainly did global edits, some local edits to bring out contrast of the rocks and boosted saturation to enhance the colors of the wave.Exif information:
