Night Shift
Taken in Lima, Peru, in 2026, this long-exposure panning photograph shows a man walking along the median strip of a main avenue, carrying his guitar. The subject remains present while the city around him dissolves into something almost painterly, and the motion blur across his face makes the image feel less like a portrait of one person and more like a reflection of many artists moving through the city.
Post processing notes:
Edited entirely in ON1 Photo RAW 2026. I applied the Blues LUT to enhance the contrast and color tone of the image, then used local adjustments to make the subject stand out more clearly. Dynamic Contrast and a slight exposure increase were applied specifically to the subject to give him more presence within the frame. Camera settings: Sony a6400 with 16-50mm kit lens at 50mm, 1/2s, f/5.6, ISO 800. Photographer: Ricardo Gómez. @fragmentosdecalleExif information:
