Mother Cardinal with Babies

I observed this nest outside my window for several days, attempting to capture the careful feeding routine of the mother and father cardinal. The experience taught me much about working in tricky light and it certainly gave me a workout as I struggled to hold the camera in just the right position to catch the action from a tricky vantage point through a window and through the branches of the tree. At last, I captured this image of the mother with her two babies.
