Male Stonechat
This photo was taken on Skomer Island off the Pembrokeshire Coast, Wales. The males like to perch high on a branch or twig to proclaim and defend their territory. The photo was taken around mid day in August at the height of the breeding season
Post processing notes:
The photo was taken using a Panasonic compact camera in 16:9 format. I tightly cropped at 1:1 to centre the bird and remove twigs and branches in the lower part of the photo. I used No Noise Ai to remove the noise in the sky. Added the sharpening and dynamic contrast filter to enhance the bird. In develop I reduced the exposure and increase the midtons and shadows to bring out more detail in the bird. Due to the crop the resulting image was very small so I used Resize to finish.Exif information:
