IR Hawaiian Rainbow
Hawaii has its rainbows and palm trees. The latter are always dynamic in IR, but what would a rainbow look like at 590 nm? I was on Kauai and spotted this rainbow; I had to find out. Out of camera, it was not exiting. Red-Blue swap done with ON1 Effects out of Capture One after cropping and centering. Shot with a Kolari full spectrum conversion of Olympus EM-1ii and a Kolari 590 nm filter, 16mm (ES 12-42), manual white balance: ISO 200, 1/180, f/9.5, exp comp -1.0.
Post processing notes:
I started shifting to ON1 when I learned how easy it was to process color IR with On1 Effects, easier than Adobe Camera Raw and Photoshop. At the time I was using Capture One as my asset manager and initial development. On1 Effects gave me a quick round trip for the Red-Blue swap. For the record, over the last 2 years I have migrated to Mylio as my asset manager and do 90% of my editing in ON1 Photo RAW.Exif information:
