Shot by John O’Donovan (johnodonovan2@gmail.com). Roger Casement Memorial, Dun Laoghaire, Ireland at sunrise, 26 May 2026. This memorial faces the birthplace of Casement and signifies his return from abroad to fight for Irish freedom. The sunrise was placed direclty behind the statue to shoot a silhouette signifing hope, rejuvenation and the dawning of a new day. The main subject was placed just off centre to give the impression of looking into the future.
Post processing notes:
ON1 Photo Raw 2026. A slight crop was required., the temperature was dialed up slightly to enhance and warm up the sunrise. Healing Brush was used to remove a slight blemish from the lens flare.Exif information:
